I have spent over 12 hours in chat with Adobe support with only negative results. I laboriously search and delete all files related to the beta.PSCS6 release version installs, but when it starts I get a popup witht the same message about AAM. The Beta uninstaller won't run because of the AAM error. I was able to leave the beta as it was and use PSCS5.įast forward: PSCS6 is released and I purchase and try to install the upgrade, which won't install with the beta present. The responses from Adobe ('you must have a bad installer'). I started getting a popup saying 'Adobe Application Manager is missing or damaged' and advising me to download and reinstall AAM. This problem began for me after installing the PSCS6 beta. Photoshop :: Adobe Application Manager Failed To Install Aug 30, 2013 If you have a Creative Cloud membership, the Adobe Application Manager will automatically update to the Creative Cloud desktop app, as long as you are running Mac OS 10.7 or later, or Windows 7 or later. Adobe Application Manager (AAM) is a helper application used to manage the installation of many Adobe products. I can understand one line of reasoning that their apps are expensive, and this way you get all the updates and upgrades to new versions. I see Adobe replaced the Application Manager with Creative Cloud on my Mac yesterday, and decided to have it as a startup item. There was also a message that came up that said 'Adobe Application Manager is corrupted and must be reinstalled'. I have the Photoshop CS6 program, and I went to download the free trial, and the Application Manager opened up, finished the download, only to end with a pop-up box saying that 'Adobe Application Manager failed to install'.
